Biography

Jen, now 21, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana.
With an extensive background in gymnastics & dance, Jen began her career as a sports acrobat in 1998. Sports Acrobatics is one of the 5 disciplines of the USA Gymnastics program (along with Men's & Women's Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline & Tumbling and Rhythmic). She competed at a national level for Elmwood Gymnastics Academy.

In 1998, Jen won her first U.S. National Championship. In 1999, due to the illness of a partner, her trio was unable to compete. For the following three years Jen and her partners conquered Nationals. In 2002, she began training for international competitions and high level events that would lead up to representing the United States. Suddenly, her partner quit leaving Jen with no team. However, Jen did fill in for an injured teammate at the 2003 U.S. Championships, winning the competition. Despite the huge success of competing nationally, Jen was never able to attend many of the international events she had been invited too. She still holds prestigious awards – 6-time National Champion, 6-time Regional & State Champion and Regional Athlete of the year in 2002.

After rough experiences in Acro, Jen decided to turn her attention and discipline to Trampoline & Tumbling where she competed in the 2004 USA Gymnastics National T&T Championships.

In 2005, she took part in the Walt Disney World College Program in Orlando, FL. Currently she is a junior at Louisiana State University (LSU) studying Finance and Internal Auditing. In addition to being a student, Jen is also a sports acrobatics judge and a Disney College Program campus representative. She will be studying abroad in Nijmegen, Netherlands from January 2007-July 2007. She hopes to possibly pursue a career in live performance and stage.
